Expression of mTOR and 4EBPS in Invasive Ductal Carcinoma of the Breast and its Significance

[Purpose] To investigate the expression of mTOR and 4EBPS in invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast and its significance.[Method] The expression of mTOR and 4EBPS in 45 cases with breast cancer tissue and 45 cases with cancer adjacent tissue was detected by immunohistochemistry(SP method).[Results] The positive rate of mTOR in breast cancer tissue and cancer adjacent tissue was 75.56%(34/45) and 20.00%(9/45),respectively,with significant difference(P0.05).And the expres-sion of mTOR was related to lymph node metastasis(P0.05).The positive rate of 4EBPS in breast cancer tissue and cancer adjacent tissue was 31.11%(14/45) and 95.56%(43/45),respectively,with significant difference(P0.05).And the expression of 4EBPS was not related to lymph node metastasis (P0.05).Ne-gative correlation was found in mTOR expression and 4EBPS expression(r=-0.614,P0.05).[Conclusion] Mar expression of mTOR and 4EBPS might play an important role in carcinogenesis of breast cancer.And the mTOR may relate to the metastasis of breast cancer.
