Infecţii cu Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato

2018
Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato is a complex of spirochetes, the etiological agents of Lyme disease or Lyme borreliosis, an infectious disease of several domestic and wild animals, including humans, clinically expressed by dermatitis, arthritis, meningoencephalitis and general disorders. However, the infection is not necessarily associated with the clinical expression, and for diagnosis the clinical suspicion is should be correlated with the laboratory results. In this study, there are presented information on the history, etiology, epidemiology, clinical picture, diagnosis, prophylaxis and control of Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato infections.
