Effects of Intravenous Nitrates in Acute Myocardial Infarction

1991
Intravenous nitrate therapy is widely used in the treatment of acute heart failure as well as for the improvement of myocardial perfusion and ventricular function in acute myocardial infarction [1–3]. Although much research has been done to determine the hemodynamic action of intravenous nitrates, the indications for nitrate therapy in acute myocardial infarction with and without acute heart failure are still the subject of dicussion.
