Analysis for bending forming behavior of rectangular aluminum section-beam

For the aluminum section beam which can be used in truck structure,the section distortion occurred during bending forming is investigated through experiments and numerical simulations by ABAQUS.Regressed mathematical models are presented to calculated the section distortion for different section size and bending deflection.The investigation shows that the bending deflection is the main factor to the section distortion.Besides that,for a given section width,the change of section height obviously affects the bulging rate of side surface,while affects little to the concave rate of the upper surface and lower surface.Meanwhile,for a given section height,the change of section width simultaneously affects the bulging rate of side surface as well as the concave rate of upper and lower surface.
