Analysis of randomized controlled trials on peptic ulcer in China

Objective To evaluate the current situation of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on peptic ulcer and whether it could offer reliable evidence for clinical practice in China. Methods RCTs from six Chinese clinical journals were searched manually and assessed according to international standard. Results Three hundred and fourteen issues of journal containing 2 421 therapeutic articles among 395 RCTs, 106RCTs on peptic ulcer were analyzed. Conclusion The quantity and quality of RCTs of peptic ulcer in China could not meet the need of clinical practice.
