Critérios para escolha da amostra em experimentos com ratos Wistar

The main goal of the present study was to contribute for delimitation of the inclusion and exclusion criteria to choose Wistar rats for experimental procuderes. It was done a literature research in the PUBMED, Scielo and Medline databases (1950 to 2011). For database searches it was used the follow key-words: pregnancy, rats; Wistar; gestation; suckling; lactation. For inclusion criteria it was used? selection to mating, age and body weighr of rhe females, number of pups, body weight ar first day of life, number os male and female per litter, litter size, day of the first animal manipulations, and control of experimental environment. It was excluded short communications and not available full text manuscript. This review is important to carify and define the criteria toc hoose rats that will be used in experimental researches in order to provide reliability in the experimental design.
