Intellectual production implies a process in which new knowledge is generated, where research is carried out and results disseminated, contributing to innovation in various fields such as social, technological, scientific and academic. Therefore, it is important that knowledge is disseminated using knowledge management to generate, take advantage of and facilitate access to information from different parts of the world. The objective of this research was to apply knowledge management to the dissemination of intellectual production, by creating a model that allows the organization and socialization of it. This research was established as qualitative because non-measurement data are manipulated and the situation is analyzed without taking into account statistical type techniques. Knowledge management was applied as a basis to create a model that allows the generation and diffusion of intellectual production. As a result, the opinions of 3 directors of different academic institutions were analyzed, through which different conceptual maps were obtained based on categories such as high performance teams, organizational management, significant learning, management leaders, ICT, among others; In addition, it generated a knowledge management model based on the data obtained for its dissemination.
