REVISED DISTRIBUTIONAL DATA ON POGONOSOMA MAROCCANUM (F.) (DIPTERA ASILIDAE) IN EUROPE, WITH NOTES ON ITS BIO-ECOLOGY

New distributional data on Pogonosoma maroccanum (Fabricius, 1794) (Diptera, Asilidae) are provided and discussed. The new records regard Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Croatia and Greece. Moreover, some biological and ecological information on the species is reported. Diagnostic features for adults, including genitalia and pupal cases, are illustrated.
