Permanent Ormex magnets in clinical practice

1989
: Permanent magnets ORMEX have been successfully used in 14 extractions of the foreign intraocular nodies localized in the anterior and posterior segments of the eye. These magnets proved to be more advantageous than the usually used electromagnets, with respect to their size, weight, easier manipulation and usual mode of sterilization. The ORMEX magnets do not need source of the electric energy and their energetic performance is greater than of the routinely used magnets of the Hirschberg's type. Authors recommend to equip all ophthalmic stationaries with these permanent ORMEX magnets.
