This article is the result of a research entitled "The mobilization of cultural objects from the memories of the Embera Chami traditional-home construction practice: possibilities to think the future of indigenous (mathematics) education". There are two purposes of this article: first, we attempt to present our insight on the notion of cultural objects, notion that makes possible other views about Ethnomathematics and Mathematics Education; and, second, we intend to show the mobilization of the measurement as a cultural object and its possibilities to think about the future of indigenous (mathematics) education.
