Device intended at start of an engine mounted on a vehicle

2010
In a starter for starting a vehicle engine, a solenoid (5) is provided for pushing a pinion (13). The solenoid has an electromagnetic coil (14) composed of a single coil electrically separated from a circuit (40) electric motor, a fixed core (16) and a plunger (20). The excitation current supply to the electromagnetic coil allows the magnetization of the stationary core to attract the plunger whose movement results in a biasing the movable member toward the crown. A switch provided in the circuit has a contact (32, 33), a movable core (28), and a switch coil (15) functioning as an electromagnet attracting the movable core in response to current supply to the coil switch. A movement of the movable core results in movement switching ON / OFF operations of the switch. The switch can operate independently of the solenoid control when both the switch and the solenoid.
