Multidisciplinary Optimization Design of Aerodynamic Shape of High Speed EMU

Based on multidisciplinary optimization design considering the performance indices such as FSI,resistance,lift,running safety and stability,aerodynamic noise,taking into account the system structure and function,the coupled relation of the aerodynamic shape,aerodynamics,dynamics and noise performance is studied systematically,and the connection structure between vehicles,the bogie area and roof area is optimized based on simulation and wind tunnel tests.The optimal aerodynamic shape of CRH380BL EMU is introduced to achieve the desired design goals.The results of line tests show that the actually measured unit resistance of CRH380BL EMU is decreased by 7% in comparison with CRH3 one,and the running stability is improved with effectively reduced aerodynamic noise to meet the technical requirements of sustained operation speed of 350 km/h and maximum operation speed of 380 km/h.
