A new technique for delivering the stomach or colon to the neck following total esophagectomy

Abstract After total esophagectomy, swallowing is usually restored by stomach or colon interposed to the neck. The use of a new technique to facilitate the passage of these conduits to the neck for anastomosis to the cervical esophagus is described.
