Producing Pepper seedlings quality is essential to obtain vigorous and productive plants in the field. These can be obtained from the control and exploitation of environmental factors and the use of substrates made of compounds available in each region. Thus the present study was to evaluate the influence of five environments (1 - a greenhouse; 2 – Chromatinet® 35% red; 3 – Chromatinet® 50% red; 4 – Chromatinet® 35% Silver e 5 – Chromatinet® 50% Silver) associated to five substrates (1 - OrganoAmazon®; 2 - OrganoAmazon® + PuroHumus® v/v; 3 - OrganoAmazon® + PuroHumus® + soil + cattle manure v/v; 4 - OrganoAmazon® + PuroHumus® + soil + cattle manure + carbonized rice husk (CRH) v/v and S5 - OrganoAmazon® + PuroHumus® + CRH + v/v) in the production of pepper seedlings in the months from July to September 2015, in Boa Vista-RR, Brazil. The design was completely randomized in split plots, totaling 25 treatments with five repetitions. Quantitative and qualitative variables of the seedlings were analyzed. The A4 and A5 environments favored only the root growth of seedlings. Substrates made without the addition of CRH (S2 and S3) promote increased biomass increment seedlings. The agricultural greenhouse is the best environment for the production of pepper seedlings, especially when associated with the substrate by format mixing OrganoAmazon® + PuroHumus®. The colored shade-nets do not promote conditions favorable to the production of chili seedling quality.
