Avaliacao da toxicidade aguda com Daphnia similis na agua captada no rio Paraiba do Sul e processada na estacao de tratamento de agua do municipio de Jacarei - SP - Brasil

The work analyses the acute toxicity in Daphnia similis, generated by the procedures for improvement of water quality for human consumption in a water treatment station (WTS) of a conventional type and in brute water of the paraiba do sul river, determining values along the phases of treatment, due to differences presented in the parameters analyses such as: temperature, oxigen consumed, ph, total hardness, alkalinity and residual chlorine. the analyses made under the presence and absence of chlorine represented the most expressive results showing tendency to toxicity. the results obtained contribute to the discussion on changes on the present menthods used in the several types of water station treatment
