The development and use of fully integrated systems in health care is expanding rapidly. Timely data capture as close to the source as possible and one data base requiring data items to be entered once only, are features most systems aim to incorporate. Bedside terminals are in. As a result, all health professionals will in the future be required to interact with a computer to obtain and document information about their patients and clients.
