Trichocolea japonica (Trichocoleaceae), a new species from Japan

Abstract Trichocolea japonica is described as a new species from central Japan, characterized by regular branching habit, massive verrucae on the surface of the leaf cilia, and linear to semiannular thickenings in the epidermal cells of the capsule wall.
