Biological characteristics of Leptosphaeria biglobosa on Chinese oilseed rape

2012
This paper focused on biological characteristics of Leptosphaeria biglobosa, the causal agent of blackleg disease on Chinese oilseed rape,as well as the effects of temperature,pH,illumination, nitrogen source and carbon source on mycelial growth and sporulation of the pathogen. Results showed that L.biglobosa could conduct mycelial growth and sporulation at the temperature between 5℃ and 35℃ with the optimum temperature at 25℃.The pathogen produced spores under pH4 to pH10,the optimum at pH7.Alternate light and darkness was favorable to mycelial growth and sporulation, while continuous light inhibited the production of mycelia and conidia in particular. The optimal carbon source and nitrogen sources were soluble starch and beef extract respectively. The lethal temperature for conidia of L.biglobosa was 52℃.
