Optimization design method to determine submergence depth of sucker rod pump

The submergence depth of oil well pump is an important parameter that affects the rod pump efficiency and system efficiency.Energy consumption of the suker rod pumping system was analyzed.Regarding system efficiency as the optimal object,the object function and constraining conditions of the system optimal design were established.The effect of the pump efficiency on system efficiency and the factors affecting the pump efficiency were analyzed.The optimal design methods of submergence pump depth and other swabbing parameters were presented.The application results show that the system efficiency and the economic benefit are enhanced by the submergence depth optimal design.
