Coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy for THz-frequency modes of biomolecules in aqueous solution

In vivo detection of terahertz (THz)-frequency vibrational modes in biological tissue is a challenging subject. By use of coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy, new THz-frequency resonances for proteins in aqueous solution are successfully detected.
