Application of the I2-KI color test to some oxygenated progesterones

1957
Abstract The iodine-potassium iodide reagent has been found to be an effective spotting agent for a wide variety of oxygenated progesterones on paper chromatograms. It is useful in differentiating some steroids of similar R f values. A technique is described for enhancing the sensitivity of the reagent.
