Synthesis of Thioacetal via AgOTf-Catalyzed Reaction of 2-Alkynylbenzaldehyde with Thiol.

The title reaction affords 2-alkynylbenzaldehyde thioacetals (III) in good to excellent yields at room temperature in short reaction times.
