The Method of Scaling the Battery Pack Based on the Single Cell Operating Characteristics

In the article the authors presented the traction battery modeling concept on the basis of the single cell exploitation analysis. This process is carried out with the use of load data obtained in real, theoretical or standardized conditions and real exploitation data of chemical cells obtained on a dedicated research stand. The proposed method of scaling was checked by comparing the characteristics of nominal capacity of the single cell and battery pack dedicated to this research. In order to additionally check the validity of the concept, thermovision tests of temperature distribution in the battery pack were carried out.
