Supraventricular tachycardia is the most common cause of symptomatic tachycardia in infancy and childhood. The most commonly occurs due to accessory pathway. Clinical symptoms are more severe in the neonatal period than childhood period, and sign of heart failure may be seen. Therefore urgent treatment is required.
