Abstract The Indian power industry has entered a transition from traditional operations to modern practices. An analysis of developments in Punjab shows how state-owned power companies have been in the vanguard in implementing a holistic model of green supply chain management that reduces losses and inefficiencies while also addressing environmental concerns.
