Southwest Region Masters Track and Field USATF, 2012

The indoor region championships were hosted by the Southern Assoc. at LSU. The meet was a big success due to the hard work by the association chair Byron Turner and his volunteers. Next year’s indoor region championships will also be in the Southern Assoc. and held at LSU, on March 2. The outdoor region championships were hosted by the South Texas Assoc. at Austin, Texas. There were more than 120 athletes at this meet, which is about the average number for this meet. Next year’s meet will be hosted by the Southern Assoc. at LSU, on June 29.. There are 4 active associations in the region who host association masters championships, each meet had a slight increase in the total number of athletes when compared to the 2009, championships. The cross country championships was be held at Rockwall, Texas on November 17.. Unfortunately there are some associations who have never had any masters activities. Associations
