The Case of Exponentially Decreasing Suction With MHD Effects in Flow Through a Porous Channel

2020
The influence of exponentially decreasing suction by considering MHD effects through porous channel has been examined in this paper. It is found that, as the porosity increases, the velocity decreases. Due to the flow in a channel, the velocity profiles are parabolic in nature as seen in classical problem. It is observed that, the time parameter and velocity are inversely related. However, the parabolic nature of the profiles is still preserved. Further, when the pore size of the medium is maintained constant, it is observed that, the velocity decreases significantly. In both the cases the backward flow is seen. It has been recorded that, as the porosity increases the friction on the boundary decreases.
