Archaeological site patterns contain essential information to gain more insight in the interaction of past societies with the physical environment. This study investigates the spatial patterns of rural habitation and burial sites dating from the Early Roman, Late Roman and Merovingian period for two contrasting regions in central Belgium (i.e., the Hesbaye and Condroz).
