Simulation of dual-stator permanent magnet synchronous motor for electric vehicle

The dual-stator permanent magnet synchronous motor (DSPMSM) features high efficiency and high torque and power density, but its special structure makes it difficult to design and there is no ready-made design software like traditional motors. In this paper, a DSPMSM control system for electric vehicles (EV) is designed, and achieves the field-circuit time-stepping finite element simulation using software Maxwell 2D and Simplorer. The outer and inner stator windings of the DSPMSM connected in series or separately are simulated respectively, and the results close to actual motor are obtained.
