Utilização da ferramenta de gestão denominada de benchmarking – Identificação das melhores práticas para implantação e manejo de horta doméstica

The dissemination of sustainable practices covers factors such as food security, cost minimizationand direct and indirect reduction of environmental impacts. Therefore, the implementationof domestic vegetable gardens is feasible in small rural or urban places. In this regard, we haveidentified which handling or management practices are used by farmers/commercial gardensowners in the town of Ipora-GO by conducting an exploratory and descriptive research whoseresults indicate the best practices used, given the need to reach efficiency and effectivenessin the exercise of any economic activity. The study demonstrates that agroecological practicesare adopted as criterion to reduce production costs and maintain the quality of the products.Keywords: Environment; food security; urban vegetable gardens.
