Asynchronous Measurement of Millimeter Waves Using Integrated One-Dimensional Multi-Channel Probe

2018
We propose a new asynchronous measurement technique using an integrated multi-channel probe. Two electrooptic sensors are integrated with a separation interval of 1.25 mm. The phase difference between the probes can be measured based on the asynchronous measurement system. The phase difference distribution can be measured by moving the integrated probe with a step of 1.25 mm. As a proof of concept, not only the amplitude, but also the phase distribution of 79 GHz millimeter waves radiated from a horn antenna were measured by using the integrated multi-channel probe. The results show that the amplitude and the phase distribution are in general agreement with those found by the simulation.
