An anisotropic constitutive model for fiber reinforced composites using strain rate related tsai-hill criterion

2006
In order that the computer programs, commonly referred as hydrocodes, have the capacity to handle with anisotropic materials such as fiber reinforced composites, an anisotropic constitutive model using strain rate related Tsai-Hill criterion is developed, in which the anisotropic strain rate effects are considered, based on established theories. To describe the constitutive model, I-D strain condition is assumed, and the Ι-D strain loading and unloading calculation at high strain rate is carried out. The results show the model discussed is suitable to use in practice.
