Anatomics 3D-printed titanium implants from head to heel

2018
Abstract Anatomics Pty. Ltd. is an Australian manufacturer that pioneered the use of medical imaging with three-dimensional (3D) printing to create patient-specific medical devices in the mid-1990s. The company also manufactures bespoke reconstructive implants and surgical tools under an ISO 13485 certified quality management system. More recently, Anatomics has developed novel 3D-printed titanium implants and advanced composite titanium/porous polymer implants in conjunction with Australia's premier research body, the Commonwealth Science and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and the RMIT University Centre of Advanced Manufacturing. Applications ranging from spinal fusion devices to heel implants have been developed over the last 5 years and will be outlined in a series of case studies.
