Battery cell and fabricating method thereof

The present invention relates to a battery cell capable of increasing a capacity of a battery cell by reducing welding width when connecting a lead of the battery cell and an electrode tab, and improving product productivity and quality. The battery cell according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a battery case forming an outer appearance of the battery cell; an electrode assembly housed in the battery case; an electrode lead electrically connected to the electrode assembly and protruding out of the battery case; and an electrode tab protruding from the electrode assembly so as to connect the electrode lead and the electrode assembly, and coupled to the electrode lead through laser welding.
