A Educação Ambiental nos Espaços Formais de Ensino: Brinquedotecas Virtuais como instrumentos de aprendizagem The Environmental Education in areas of Formal Education: Virtual Toy Libraries as tools for learning

2008
This study deals with the importance of creating spaces and democratic alternative for the inclusion of Environmental Education in the training of teachers. The central question is to motivate teachers to the use of educational toys made from reused material and at the same time, introduce them on issues of Environmental Education. The research deepens the ideas of Kishimoto (2006) with respect to the importance of play and Levy (2001) on the use of new technologies, especially the internet, as a tool for teaching work and continuing education of teachers. The organization uses the methodological research participant, through interviews with focus group composed of 11 teachers who work in schools of municipal education in Campos dos Goytacazes. To organize the data and do the analysis used the "Speech from collective subject" (SCS), Lefevre (2005). It was found that, although projects developed in Environmental Education focused on the training of teachers, they do not focus on the reuse of materials for the construction of toys or presents a tool for access to these resources for teachers. The idea of building a virtual Toy Library ( "Sucatoteca") can contribute, not only to supply the lack of toys in schools but also to promote teachers’ access to a dedicated interactive place for Environmental Education.
