On the damage and control of Acantholyda posticalis posticalis Matsumura

Acantholyda posticalis posticalis Matsumura was first found in Henan Province in 1981 and spread quickly after 1983. The damage, distribution and eating capacity of larvae are investigated in Dongwan forest farm. The occurrence amount is forecasted according to the variation of population. Foresting scientificly, protecting and making good use of natural enemies and applying chemicals at the right time can effectively control the damage of the pest.
