PROCEDURE FOR DETERMINING SPECIFIC HDL serum cholesterol. It DESCRIBES A PROCEDURE FOR DETERMINING SPECIFIC HDL-cholesterol levels in serum or plasma, by incubation with a detection of cholesterol, which contain cholesterol oxidase and cholesterol esterase in a medium aqueous buffered AND MEASUREMENT OF A PRODUCT REACTION OF CHOLESTEROL-oXIDASE OR oXYGEN CONSUMPTION, WHICH reagent or method is characterized incubated in the presence of a salt of a bile acid or a salt of a derivative of a bile acid or dioctylsulfosuccinate, THEN TAKES CABO a first measurement, then added a nonionic detergent, CONTAINING GROUPS POLY (ETHYLENE OXIDE) OR alkanesulfonate INCIDENTAL, incubated again AND THEN HOLDS A second measurement, and the amount of HDL-cholesterol determined from the difference between the first measurement and the second measurement.
