Analysis of ABCG2 expression and its significance in acute leukemia

Objective:To study the role of ABCG2 expression in patients with acute leukemia.Methods:Marrow fluids were obtained from 72 patients with acute leukemia and 10 patients with non-malignant hematological diseases,and expression of ABCG2 was detected using RT-PCR.Results:The level of ABCG 2 in acute leukemia patients was significantly higher than that in patients with non-malignant hematological diseases(P0.05),meanwhile the level of ABCG2 in recurrent patients was higher than that in patients received initial treatment(P0.05).Conclusion:ABCG2 maybe participate in the drug-resistance mechanism of acute leukemia.
