Analysis of Active and Reactive Power and Voltage Control in the Power Structure with the Help of Unified Power Flow Controller

2019
The power system composed of power generation, transmission, distribution, and the utilization. In this paper we are considering Flexible A.C transmitting structure (Facts) devices known Unified power flow controller (UPFC). The UPFC is used for to increase controllability and also capable to expand power transport capacity of the networks. UPFC have the features to control true power, Reactive power, Line impedances, phase angle, power quality and to adjust the transmitting real-time voltage command in the transmission line. This appliance provides significant power quality flow in the power system; this characterizes even increased important and sensitive that UPFC can be put into the transmitting line with their boundaries. The device gives unique features to command the true and reactive power move and the voltage command. This paper concerning 5-bus transmission systems in which we placed UPFC to improve the true and reactive power, Line impedances, phase angle, and voltage control. By performing with and without using UPFC, when with the use UPFC device they help to command the true power and reactive power move and the voltage command by charge the controller at the forward end by simulation tools and when without not using UPFC, they cannot help to improve or command the power flow and voltage command. The power structure model was made on simulation version 2010b. By composition power model we see the results with and without using UPFC. On the conclusion we consider that the UPFC is an ideal device to improve the true or real and reactive power move and voltage command in power structure.
