Synthesis and cyclooxygenase and 5-lipoxygenase inhibitory activity of some thiazolidene-4-one analogs of meclofenamic acid

Replacement of the carboxylic acid functionality of meclofenamic acid with select heterocycles converted this cyclooxygenase (CO) inhibitor into dual inhibitors of CO and 5-lipoxygenase (5-LO).
