Structure determination from powder diffraction data of a new clathrasil, TMA silicate

Summary The structure of as-synthesized TMA Silicate was solved using powder diffraction data. Intensities extracted from high-resolution synchrotron powder diffraction data were used for direct methods solution of the structure. The postulated topology was confirmed by DLS refinement, and the structure was confn'med by successful Rietveld refinement. The space group is C2/m: and lattice parameters are a = 13.35171(15) , b = 13.05496(13) , c = 12.52970(13) , and β = 113.2863(6) °.
