Observation the Clinical Efficacy of Surgical Treating Patients with Mixed Parotid Tumor

2012
Objective To probe into the clinical efficacy of different surgical methods treating mixed parotid tumor. Methods 120 mixed parotid tumor patients form January 2009 to December 2011 in our hospital were selected.Depending on the different surgical approach, patients were randomly divided into study group and control group(n=60).The patients in control group were treated with traditional total parotidectomy excision, while patients in study group were treated with regional resection of the tumor of retained parotid duct.Patients in two groups were compared and analyzed the postoperative complications and postoperative functional damage of major nerve branches. Results By 4 to 6 months follow-up,the patients in two groups were no recurrence.Compared with control group, patients in study group, the incidence of complications for subcutaneous fluid or salivary fistula, facial paralysis, frey syndrome and facial obvious deformity were decreased significantly, only 1.67%,6.67%,10.00% and 6.67%,while functional damage of the marginal mandibular branch, buccal branch of zygomatic branch of facial nerve branches were significantly lower, only 10.00%,8.33% and 6.67%.There were statisticall significantce(P0.05).Conclusions Regional parotid gland tumor resection is effective and significant in a mixed parotid tumor clinical application process. It can be used as a most ideal surgical approach for mixed parotid tumor patients.
