Study of order of kinetics in submicron LiCaAlF6:A,Eu (A=La and Y) phosphor

In this context the results on gamma induced thermoluminescence properties of submicron LiCaAlF6:Eu phosphor co-doped with lanthanum and Yttrium are reported. Phosphor shows good luminescence properties for thermal stimulation. The effect of ball milling on the order of kinetics in thermoluminescence processes was studied. The ball milling affects the kinetics of the thermoluminescence processes. The glow peak structures of the phosphors were found to be modified by the ball milling. However from the kinetics parameters obtained, it can be found that all the components contributing in the thermoluminescence processes employed first order kinetics.
