Preliminary Discussion on the Surface Modification of Palygorskite

Using the Guizhou Dafang′s palygorskite as raw material,the technological conditions for surface modification of palygorskite was preliminarily researched.The nodified palygorskite was evaluated by some measurement methods,such as sedimentation height in different solvent media,infra-red spectrometry,and the dual-mixed tests of palygorskite and resin.The test results confirmed that the silicane coupling agent KH-550 has a certain strengthening effect.
