Notes on electrocardiograms of patients over 70
1982
: A survey of 504 ECGs from persons over 70 years old revealed a considerable percentage of perfectly normal tracings. Among the pathological tracings, there was a marked predominance of rhythm as opposed to conduction disturbances, and a large percentage of ischaemic atypias and left axial deviations. A comparison with other reported series indicated that discrepancies in the values presented can primarily be attributed to differences in the composition of the series themselves.
