lltis paper is broadly divided into three areas namely, the modelling of a high speed passenger lip system, identification of the sources of disturbance, and methods for improving the ride quality. A mathemarical model representing the lip system was created initially and various tests were conducted on the actual system to obtain unknown parameters and also to venh the model. lltis model was then used to study ways of improving the ride qua@. Some of the merhodr include active suspension technology and using modern control strategies to design a lip car velocity controller.
