The present invention discloses an AC excitation system based on full-controlled member, including a power unit and a field excitation regulator, excitation regulator controls the output power of the excitation current of the field unit, the power unit comprising exciter field excitation system, the exciter field winding exciter and the converter, the output of the exciter field windings of the exciter excitation system is connected, the converter-side input terminal of the exciter is connected to the exciter field system provides excitation current to the exciter, excitation power unit further comprising a chopper converter using fully-controlled inverter, the output terminal of the input terminal of the full-controlled converter is connected to the chopper, the chopper output terminal for connection to the field winding of the generator. The present invention uses a fully controlled inverter, commutation failure is not a problem, high reliability, good excitation capacity, improve the capacity of the generator, de-excitation to effectively prevent failures, reduced system cost, reduce the equivalent control system time constants, the response speed improves.
