THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN THE AASHTO-LFRD BRIDGE DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS

Since it was published in 1994, the AASHTO-LRFD Bridge Design Specifications has been used in parallel to AASHTO Standard Specifications for Highway Bridges. Both specifications are updated annually and these updates are published in an annual interim specification issued by AASHTO. This paper presents an overview of the changes to the LRFD specification as a result of the annual interims since its introduction.
