The harm and prevention countermeasures of super large-scale landslide in Sichuan Province

Super Large-scale Landslide means that Landslide volumes are more than 1000×10~4m~3,their creation usually relates to the special topography and geological conditions.Sichuan province is one of the most serious geological disaster areas in our country,because of the great height difference of topography,strong new tectonic movement,complicate geological environment condition and the outstanding problem of environment geology.According to the preliminary statistic,there are 76 super large-scale landslides now in Sichuan Province.Owing to abruptness and concealment of the frequent occurrence of super large-scale landslide disaster,the serious event of "many people have died and injured" often occurs.Dam-break affair caused by super large-scale landslide usually forms the disaster chain,the harm of which is tremendous.Based on the sufficient collecting the data of geological disaster in Sichuan province,the investigation of super large-scale landslide is developed,mainly through the methods of remote sensing,ground survey,mapping and exploration.The distribution,character of development,harm and geological condition of super large-scale landslide disaster are investigated in Sichuan province.The main controlling factors and stability of super large-scale landslide formation are analyzed and researched.The risk of disaster is estimated and the risky government strategy is proposed,which provide the basic data for preventing super large-scale landslide influenced on people life estate and important engineering construction.
