EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT DAN KINERJA PEGAWAI, SUATU ANALISIS MEDIASI DENGAN ANTECEDENT KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL DAN SERVANT LEADERSHIP

This study aims to analyze how extent of emotional intelligence, employee engagement, and servant leadership can affect employee performance. This study used a quantitative explanatory research design that was conducted at the Regional Planning, Development, and Research Agency (Bappelitbangda) and Regional Financial Management, Revenue, and Aseets Agency (BPKPAD) of Selayar Islands with a population of 156 people with a sample of 130 people. Sampling was applied using probability sampling with stratefied random sampling technique. The data were collected using a questionnaire as an instrument. The results of this study indicate that in the construct of emotional intelligence, employee engagement and employee performance, it can be concluded that employee engagement on employee performance partially mediates the relationship between emotional intelligence and employee performance. In improving employee performance, emotional intelligence increases employee engagement before increasing employee performance. Likewise, in the constructs of servant leadership, employee engagement and employee performance, it is concluded that employee engagement on employee performance partially mediates the relationship between servant leadership and employee performance. In improving employee performance, servant leadership increases employee engagement first before improving employee performance. The implications of these findings indicate the importance of improving emotional intelligence, Servant Leadership, and Employee Engagement in improving employee performance. The ability of employees to manage emotions, control themselves, and establish good relationships with fellow colleagues will have an impact on improving performance both in the workplace and in social life.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sampai sejauh mana kecerdasan emosional, employee engagement, dan servant leadership dapat memengaruhi kinerja pegawai.  Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan rancangan penelitian kuantitatif eksplanatory, yang dilakukan pada Bappelitbangda dan BPKPAD kepulauan selayar dengan populasi 156 orang dengan sampel sebanyak 130 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan probability sampling dengan teknik stratefied sampling random. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan questioner sebagai instrument.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada konstruk kecerdasan emosional, employee engagement dan kinerja pegawai dapat disimpulkan employee engagement terhadap kinerja pegawai memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dan kinerja pegawai. Dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai, kecerdasan emosional meningkatkan employee engagement terlebih dahulu sebelum meningkatkan kinerja pegawai. Begitu pula pada konstruk servant leadership, employee engagement dan kinerja pegawai disimpulkan bahwa employee engagement terhadap kinerja pegawai memediasi secara parsial hubungan antara servant leadership dan kinerja pegawai. Dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai, servant leadership meningkatkan employee engagement terlebih dahulu sebelum meningkatkan kinerja pegawai. Implikasi dari hasil temuan ini menunjukkan pentingnya untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional, Servant Leadership, dan Employee Engagement dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai. Kemampuan pegawai mengelola emosi, mengendalikan diri, dan menjalin hubungan yang baik dengan sesama rekan kerja akan berdampak pada peningkatan kinerja baik ditempat kerja maupun dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat.
